Part-Time Email Marketing Specialist
Target Start Date: 9/14/26Contract Position | Approximately 16 Hours/Week
Hydrate Marketing is a growing digital marketing agency based in Lebanon, NH and Portland, ME. We work with a diverse group of retained clients across the U.S., including manufacturers, accounting and advisory firms, higher education, retail, wealth management, and nonprofits. We're a small, collaborative team that works closely together to develop and execute smart, practical marketing programs for our clients.
Hydrate is looking for a detail-oriented Email Marketing Specialist to join our extended team on a part-time contract basis. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking content and creative direction and turning it into polished, professional email campaigns. You'll work across a variety of clients, industries, and email platforms, so no two weeks will look exactly the same.
Responsibilities include:
- Build, format, and prepare email campaigns in Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot, and similar email marketing platforms.
- Write and edit light email copy, including headlines, introductions, calls to action, and other supporting content.
- Make basic edits to email templates, layouts, images, buttons, links, and other campaign elements.
- Work with Hydrate’s account and creative teams to turn provided content and designs into finished email campaigns.
- Proofread and test emails for accuracy, links, formatting, and overall quality before deployment.
- Assist with email lists, contact databases, segmentation, and basic list management as needed.
- Manage multiple client email projects and deadlines while communicating clearly with the Hydrate team.
- Schedule and deploy email campaigns according to client calendars and deadlines.
- Assist with campaign reporting and basic performance metrics, including opens, clicks, engagement, and conversions.
- Identify opportunities to improve email formatting, usability, and campaign performance.
What We’re Looking For
- Hands-on experience with Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and/or HubSpot.
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working within email templates and formatting tools.
- Solid writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to follow established brand guidelines and adapt to different client voices.
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently within an agency environment.
Schedule: Approximately 16 hours per week
